What Backpack OS does with your Google data

You connect each Google service separately, and only the ones you want. Connecting one does not grant access to the others, and you can disconnect at any time from inside Backpack OS or from your Google account.

Google Analytics

Read your traffic and conversion reports so you can ask questions about them in plain English. Read only by default. Creating a conversion event is a separate permission you grant only if you use that feature.

Google Search Console

Read your search performance — queries, pages, clicks, impressions and average position — to report on organic visibility. Read only. We never write to Search Console.

Google Tag Manager

Build the tracking tags you ask for in your container and stage a version. Nothing goes live on your site until a person publishes it.

Google Ads

Read campaign, keyword and search term performance for reporting. A small fixed set of changes — pause or enable a campaign, adjust a budget, add negative keywords — can be applied, and only after you confirm each one.
